Cambridge is a very popular tourist destination and offers a variety of places to stay. A useful guide to hotels and the like in and around Cambridge can be found here.

The best and often most affordable option regarding accommodation in the city centre, i.e. close to the conference venue, shops, restaurants, bars, pubs, etc., is to stay in a college. We have negotiated a special deal for you with Christ's College (approx. 5 minute walk to the lecture theatre; check out the location here).

We are able to offer 30 single rooms with shared facilities at the special rate of GBP 13 per night, assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. This deal is available as a package only, i.e. to be booked for the entire duration of the conference (Tuesday, 19th to Friday, 22nd of March 2013), amounting to a total of GBP 39 for three nights. Breakfast is not included, but cafes, restaurants and supermarkets are in close proximity. We take bookings once registration for the conference opens. Payment is to be made with the booking (we will upload the bank details in the near future). We will confirm your booking upon receipt of your payment. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer any refunds in case of cancellation.

Besides college accommodation, the city centre offers a selection of hotels (some of which can be fairly expensive), for example:

  • Best Western Plus The Gonville Hotel
  • Crowne Plaza Hotel
  • De Vere University Arms Hotel
  • Regency Guest House
  • Royal Cambridge Hotel
  • The Lensfield Hotel
  • The Varsity Hotel & Spa

  • Other options around town, which are a bit further out but still within walking distance or easily reached by bus, and within a more affordable price range, include the following:

  • Acorn Guest House: B&B, accessible by bus and approx. 20 minute walk to the centre
  • Carlton Lodge: B&B, accessible by bus and approx. 25-30 minute walk to the centre and conference venue
